Representing planar domains by polar parameterizations with parabolic parameter lines

چکیده

Polar parameterizations of star-shaped domains are based on the line segments that connect a suitably chosen center point with points domain's boundary. Valid (i.e., regular everywhere except at point) polar obtained when choosing from kernel domain. Recently, flexibility these has been enhanced by considering so-called arc fibrations (Jüttler et al., 2019), which use circular arcs in order to boundary points. We propose and analyze another generalization parameterizations, uses parabolic instead lines or arcs. This class curves is simultaneously simpler (since admitting polynomial parameterizations) more flexible.

Analysis of Singularity Lines by Transforms with Parabolic Scaling

Using Hart Smith’s, curvelet, and shearlet transforms, we investigate L functions with sufficiently smooth background and present here sufficient and necessary conditions, which include the special case with 1-dimensional singularity line. Specifically, we consider the situation where regularity on a line in a non-parallel direction is much lower than directional regularity along the line in a ...

On Fixed-Parameter Tractable Parameterizations of SAT

We survey and compare parameterizations of the propositional satisfiability problem (SAT) in the framework of Parameterized Complexity (Downey and Fellows, 1999). In particular, we consider (a) parameters based on structural graph decompositions (tree-width, branch-width, and clique-width), (b) a parameter emerging from matching theory (maximum deficiency), and (c) a parameter defined by transl...

Representing Action Domains with Numeric-Valued Fluents

We present a general method to formalize action domains with numericvalued fluents whose values are incremented or decremented by executions of actions, and show how it can be applied to the action description language C+ and to the concurrent situation calculus. This method can handle nonserializable concurrent actions, as well as ramifications on numeric-valued fluents, which are described in...
